During this appointment, our specialists will perform a series of diagnostic tests to confirm your candidacy and recommend the best procedure for you. We’ll also discuss the price of the procedure as well as financing options.
If you’re deemed a good candidate, we’ll schedule your LASIK surgery for a date and time convenient for you. We’ll also provide instructions for how to prepare for your surgery and what you can expect from the recovery.
What can I expect during my LASIK surgery?
On the day of your procedure, our clinical staff will guide you through the steps and give you all the necessary post-operative instructions. We’ll administer anesthetic eye drops to numb your eyes to minimize discomfort during the procedure. We may also offer you a mild sedative to help you relax.
One of the benefits of LASIK surgery is that it’s often quick.
The procedure itself typically takes around 10 minutes, with the laser used for less than a minute on each eye.
LASIK recovery
After LASIK surgery, you should plan to have a friend or family member drive you home. You’ll be recommended to rest for the remainder of the day. You may experience some temporary mild irritation or discomfort, which can be treated with over-the-counter pain medication.

Most patients are back to their normal routine within a day of the procedure.
