Dr. Todd Adelson has performed over 25,000 LASIK eye surgeries and has been in practice for nearly two decades.
Education
Dr. Todd Adelson graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. He later obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. He then completed an internship at Botsford Hospital-Michigan State University and pursued ophthalmology residency training for 3 years at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he had the privilege of training alongside world-renowned ophthalmologists at the prestigious Will's Eye Hospital.
Dr. Adelson later went on to complete an advanced cataract and refractive surgery fellowship affiliated with Michigan State University, which allowed him to gain extensive experience in refractive surgeries, including LASIK and PRK.

As an innovator in the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Adelson consistently incorporates the latest laser eye surgery technology and advancements into his practice. Having performed thousands of procedures during his career, Dr. Adelson is renowned for his expertise and specialization in LASIK and cataract surgery.
Dr. Adelson routinely lectures for residents and medical students at Michigan State University as well as the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Accomplishments
Dr. Adelson actively shares his knowledge by participating in medical case studies and educating local medical students and residents. He’s had the honor of being named Hour Detroit Magazine’s “Top Doc” seven times.
He belongs to a number of prestigious organizations, such as the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Osteopathic Association.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Adelson is an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoys both college and professional sports, particularly rooting for Michigan State, while also harboring a soft spot for Michigan. He finds joy in boating, traveling, savoring good food, and exploring real estate. Nevertheless, his ultimate passion in life is his family, with his greatest accomplishment being a devoted father to his daughters, Tia and Peyton.
